I was raised to get a good job and make sure my bills were paid. We NEVER even had a conversation about business, money, passive income, or financial freedom.

I come from small-town America where people think small. I apologize if this offends my friends and family. At 16 years old, my friends and I would sit around and talk about what we didn't want to do. We didn't want to be like those before us that hopefully finish school, get a factory job, and raise a family while living paycheck to paycheck. Guess what a lot of my friends are doing right now...

I joined the army, which was the best decision at the time. I was working in a furniture factory making peanuts for a living. There was no way I was going to be able to live the life that I wanted while working in that furniture factory. Fast forward a decade and a half and my life has changed drastically.

It started with me asking questions. How do people make money without working? Why do they have so much free time? Why are they able to go on vacations every month? It just didn't make sense because, as I said, that wasn't what I grew up around. I didn't think I was capable of achieving that liberty because I didn't come from a family that had a business or lots of money.

At 30 years old I made the decision to start Johnson Property Investments, Inc. I'm here to tell you that it was super hard for the first 2 years. My wife and I were unable to pay ourselves for the first 4 years. That is right, everyone made money but us. We were paying cleaners, handyman, plumbers, etc. But, we weren't able to pay ourselves.

It was all worth it. Our business provides everything that we wanted it to provide. We are officially financially free due to the passive income that we have created within our business.

Not to sound cheesy, but trust me, if we can do it, you can do it.
